How a remote mortgage consultation works

A useful first conversation, wherever you are in Ontario.

You can speak with me remotely or request an in-person meeting by arrangement. The first conversation is about understanding your plans and deciding what needs to happen next.

1. Start with the decision you need to make

Tell me whether you are buying, renewing or considering a change to existing borrowing. Bring your timeline and the question that matters most. You do not need to know mortgage terminology to get started.

2. Separate the conversation from an application

The website form requests a consultation. It does not authorise a credit check or create a lender application. If you decide to proceed, I will explain the brokerage’s process, required consents and the appropriate way to share documents.

3. Leave with an agreed next step

At the end, confirm the documents or questions still outstanding, who will follow up, and any deadline we need to work toward. For an in-person meeting, we will agree on a practical location and time before it is confirmed.

Questions to bring to our conversation

  • What do I need to prepare before our first conversation?
  • What would happen if I decide to apply?
  • Can we meet in person instead?
